A replacement root, with a crown placed on top.
Dental Implants

An implant replaces what a bridge or denture can't — the root itself. A titanium post is placed into the jaw, where it fuses with the bone over several months, then a custom crown or denture is fitted on top.
Front-tooth and back-tooth implants are planned differently — aesthetics and load-bearing demands differ, and we plan each case around which tooth is being replaced.
Because it replaces the root, an implant also helps preserve the jawbone underneath, which a missing tooth alone would otherwise gradually lose.
